What makes our training program different?

We have our apprentices on the service floor right away for immediate hands-on experience with our guests. We have a detailed program guided by our Education Team to support along the way. We deeply believe in our comprehensive apprentice program to take the education and the art of our stylists to the next level. We want our apprentices to grow with us and be a part of our community.

For the 7-12 months of our training program, we work together to grow skillsets and comfort in the Salon industry to feel confident and part of a family of support.

Phase 1 //

We dive right in. You'll assist our professional team by learning how SALT Salon Spa Cafe flows on a daily basis. Meet the team and get to know more about our mission that keeps us at the top of our foremost service experience. We provide information and training on our luxury professional lines for hair, nails and skin as well as navigate the product in our boutique. 

Most Importantly, we practice the art of client consultation as well as the art of a great shampoo. In this phase, we also perfect prepping, styling and finishing. Our apprentices are on the floor with models as soon as they walk through the door. These skills are cornerstones of SALT.

This phase is to perfect your skills in prepping and finishing our guests for our most experienced stylists.

Specialize // Phase 2 

In this phase we go deeper into specialized skills of our salon offerings. You have the opportunity to fully participate in our Apprentice Program by bringing in a model for each week of this phase. We love Phase 2 by gaining additional experience with different types of clients/models to grow your skills. When you're not working with a model or participating in a lesson, you'll be assisting all of our team members and guests. 

This intensive hands-on phase prepares you to serve guests full time on the floor.  

Specialize // Phase 3: Prepare to Double Book

As you continue with the SALT Hair Apprentice Program, you'll gain precision on prepping, application and finishing. This phase prepares you to double-book and utilize our assistants.   When not working with models on these key essentials of your education and position, you'll continue to be hands on working side by side with our Education Team learning advanced techniques  learn more about the flow of the SALT experience.
